Antony set up Thousand Word Media in 2008 after working as a freelance photographer for over 10 years around the West Country. In his earlier years, Antony worked for various daily newspapers in the Midlands, including the Gloucestershire Echo where he covered major news events such as the Fred and Rose West trial. Since expanding the business, Antony now employs two full time photographers and has successfully established a vibrant photographic and video production agency.

- Used to be a sailing instructor and still regularly races a single handed dinghy
- Has built his own kit car
- Has been growing a banana plant for the last 4 years, which is now over 8 feet tall
